Dr. Magdalena Sy completed her residency training in Pediatrics at the University of Alberta - Stollery Children’s Hospital after prior residency training and experience in pediatrics in the Philippines. She has since been practicing general pediatrics in Calgary as well as seeing pediatric sleep medicine patients. Dr. Natalia Liapounova is an Alberta-trained MD for the University of Calgary. She had her residency training in Pediatric Neurology at the University of Alberta - Stollery Children’s Hospital. Dr. Liapounova is a community-based Pediatric Neurologists in Calgary. Dr. Liapounova is fluent in English and Russian She will be seeing neonatal, pediatric, and young adult patients (25 years old and under) with various neurological conditions. Ex. Headaches, Post-concussive syndrome, Developmental regression/delay, Facial and Body Asymmetries, Movement disorders (tics,tremor), sensory complaints, weakness and seizures. Dr. Liapounova is also available for telephone consults with Family Physicians Dr. Eric T. Payne is an Epileptologist and Pediatric Neurologist, Board certified in Neurology (FRCPC) and Clinical Electroencephalography (CSCN). He completed Medical School at the University of Calgary. Dr. Payne also completed his Masters in Public Health from Harvard University. He has previously worked at the Mayo Clinic (2014- 2020) and the Alberta Children's Hospital (20020-2023). Dr. Payne is also Fellowship trained in Pediatric Neurocritical care and epilepsy, completed at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Dr. Payne will be accepting patients with the following conditions: Pediatric and Adult seizure disorders, General child neurology, Epilepsy diet support, Vagal nerve stimulation (VNS) programming for refractory epilepsy, Suspected neurologic inflammatory disorders. Dr. Sy and Dr. Liapounova are available at both our NE and SE clinic location. Dr. Payne is currently seeing patients at our NE clinic for now. |
